Monitoring reports
To monitor the development and success of restoration plantings permanent plots have been established in the different vegetation types created at the park. Six plots are around the margin of Horseshoe Lake, which are used to monitor the development of the plantings. Nine plots are on the basin, to monitor the effectiveness of the different initial planting compositions. Nine plots are on the hillslope, to monitor the effectiveness of the different initial planting compositions and groundcover treatments. Six plots are in the Sporadanthus bog vegetation type to monitor the bogs development.
